Gobo's Lunch Bunch members are definitely aging. None of us can eat a lot.
But we can at least buy goodies on our trips.
Today we head to Apple Hill.
Apple Hill is about 50 miles east of Sacramento and 70 miles west of Lake Tahoe along Hwy 50.
Until the early 1960's this area grew mainly pears. Then the pear blight took production from 52,000 tons in 1958 to 8,435 in 1965. You can read about the history of Apple Hill here: Apple Hill History

Everyone bought something here because the prices were really low Stop 3 was just west of Clements at {link}Biglieri Farms Market. No photos but Caroline bought some squash. Interestingly they were selling acorn squash at 4 for a dollar Or one dollar a piece. She bought 4. She also bought a {link}Kabocha squash for one dollar. I bought 3 pounds of walnut meat for $10.35 mostly for my sister to bake cookies.
We then travel the remaining 16.5 miles back to Elsa's home.
